HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!
Can’t believe that it is already that time of year. I love the holiday season. There is always something to look forward to. One of my favorite parts about the holidays is baking and cooking.
I know that planning, hosting, and cooking dinner for 8 or more people on Thanksgiving can be very stressful and exhausting. In this post I thought I’d try to make it easier for everyone by creating a Thanksgiving menu and including a combined grocery list for all of these recipes.
I’ve included all print friendly recipes below, including the links. I hope you enjoy them and that this post makes Thanksgiving a little easier this year.
Main Course
Black Lacquered Turkey
I apologize for the picture quality. This was the only one I could find of the Black Lacquered Turkey.
Yes! It is black. But don’t worry, the turkey is not the thing that is burnt. It is the paste that is spread on the turkey. The paste keeps the turkey super moist and flavorful. The paste doesn’t taste bad itself.
My mom has made this several time, after we watched how to make it on the Martha Stewart Show. It is so delicious!
Here is the recipe in 3 parts (sorry, it came that way):
Black Lacquered Turkey (print friendly)
Glazing Paste (print friendly)
Basting Liquid (print friendly)
Stuffing
No picture sadly:( But this stuffing was specifically designed to go with the Black Lacquered Turkey. My mom and I would make this as well. If you love stuffing as much as I do, this is a must try!
Remember, you never have to actually stuff the stuffing in the turkey. It’s just as good in a bowl!
Side Dish
Green Bean Casserole
One of my favorites at Thanksgiving. This looks absolutely delectable. Jessica from The Novice Chef shared this recipe, claiming to be the best Green Bean Casserole! Guess we better try it out then…;)
Garlic-Parmesan Browned Butter Mashed Potatoes
Cheese…potato…butter..who can go wrong?! I have never tried this one, but it looks so delicious. I snagged this recipe from Karina at Cafe Delights.
Dessert
Pecan Pie
OOOO!!! I love pecan pie. Doesn’t this look amazing!! This recipe is new to me. It came from Sally’s Baking Addiction. Let me know how this one is if you try it out!
Drinks
Apple Cider Mimosas!
Yummmmm…this is for the adult guests at the thanksgiving table. This recipe is from Becky at The Cookie Rookie. It is SUPER easy. Don’t worry though. I’ve got something for our non-alcohol drinkers.
Apple Pie Punch (non-alcoholic)
My mouth is watering! I found this recipe at Frugal Mom eh! I think this is a perfect drink for Thanksgiving! You could even spice it up with Sparkling Apple Cider.
I hope you enjoy all of these! Let me know what you guys think and if you tried any of these. I would love to hear how these turned out!
I just love seeing your holiday favorites! Makes me feel warm and cozy!!!😊
